Master toilet

Don't know what my landlord was thinking but this is what our master toilet looks like

The bath area is behind the WC

So you have to "jump" across to take a shower ...

and God help you if you are pregnant

My God!!! This is part of what motivated me to get into my career. Nigeria and her lack of Codes! How on earth would this happen anywhere else?

don't take offense but i had to laugh out loud when i saw this. i thought it was a joke.
What does he mean by this please. let's not even talk about the shower, where is the space to even use the W.C.
i mean how comfortable is it to bath that close to a WC?? God i wish we had a stronger legal system in naija, then this would not be happening, it makes me livid!
i hope that you can sort this out easily, because it is just plain unacceptable. pele.schewww

Darkelcee- Feel much better and confirmed this morning that i am so NOT pregnant....

Thankfully at that :)

36inches- we don't use that room oh... i've converted it to guest room. the guests can have their daily exercise while trying to bath LOL

Archiwiz- i'll spare you further details of tales from other tenants in Lagos...
Thankfully we don't use that room so i am spared all those jumping exercises!!! LOL

Suliph- In my opinion i feel he decided to add the bathroom after the house was completed hence the bizarre idea.

K.I.T- my dear the other parts of the house were quite ok compared to this one oh and we had been on this house matter for some time... hence the decision!!!

downtheaisle- My dear you can always "improvise" to find leg room while using the place oh LOL

What in heaven is going on here? It must have been an after thought, I mean the toilet. I just can imagine your landlord tell his friend - "why not, let's allocate the toilet just here".

Pele o.

Doll-Na real nicompoop that my landlord... U need to see what he looks like sef LOL
Your cutie's fine oh... He's crawling now and infact fell off the bed this morning!!!

LG- if you see the lecture i got from mr on top this belle matter you go think say na me dey "pregnate" myself... anyway it was thankfully just a scare abeg

Jidesalu- i believe that's exactly what happened my dear brother... these are some "hazards" of being a "mai rent"

Na real "Master toilet" ah ahn!

But then, there are worse things in Lagos, worse houses.
I hear some houses don't have toilets at all, since they are close to the lagoon and it is difficult to dig soakaways without reaching the water table...

Thank God you have an alternative.

Your landlord wasnt thinking.

Hope you have another bathroom to use.

On you being pregiee, children are a gift from God. You can call on the grandparents for help or get a maid/nanny.

your landlord needs to be slapped.

I will tell you the truth, that bathroom was an after thought.

Hmmm, let's see.

...relocate the toilet bowl to the (short) end wall (hence, it faces the camera) and do the piping along the left wall.

...(if possible) block off the doorway (guess 'tis on the opposite short wall).

...open a new door way in the middle of the right wall (swinging inward to the left).

...create a shower cubicle behind the door swing on the left (that is opposite the new toilet bowl location just infront of the existing door that has been blocked off).

Wow!!! ...a mouthful.

Today

Happy new year! So many cobwebs here
